So I got my print a few weeks ago and this is what came out of the printer.
I didn't expect it to be so small and not everything printed as expected but I'm guessing that was due to the rushed modelling job.
This is it with the base and most of the support layers off. Damaged it a bit but I think it works quite well with the look.
More of the support being taken off and the start of the paint job.
Almost done!
And the finished product!
Things didn't go exactly as planned but I'm pretty happy with the end result.
It's the deadline and awards night tomorrow but if this has piqued your interest please visit www.cartridgesave.co.uk/3Dprintcup for more information. I intend to join in again next year!

3D Print Cup
Submitted my design for the 3D Print Cup today.
It's a friendly competition hosted by Cartridge Save. For more information please visit: www.cartridgesave.co.uk/3Dprintcup
This years prize is a 5th Generation MakerBot!
Initially my design was a crab with a lot of moving parts but after test printing various moving parts it didn't work out as I hoped. A few screenshots of the design are shown below.
After a bit of panic and a random conversation with my friend I decided to change my idea. I didn't want to waste my crab so it's still part of my design just not a moving part.
As it won't print properly as it is I have to separate the parts
YAY!
Finally got this framed! :D
It's by ~samandfuzzy (https://www.deviantart.com/samandfuzzy) and the coloured version can be viewed here.
Awesome Day!
Today was AWESOME!
I received...
The Antler Boy and Other Stories by Jake Parker.
The Antler Boy and Other Stories was part of a very sucessful Kickstarter campaign which you can find here.
Young Avengers with the Bryan Lee O'Malley varient cover.
I don't usually buy single issues but I made an exception just because the cover was by Bryan Lee O'Mally.
And finally got my prints by tysonhesse (https://www.deviantart.com/tysonhesse) framed.
These look even better in real life but my phone camera horrible and doesn't do them justice.
...
Finally decided to put up some work on here to push myself into doing more work and hopefully to a good enough standard to put in a showreel.
It's not great but I guess it's a start.
